Cervical Cancer Screening Camp

MIOT Seychelles Medical, in collaboration with the Soroptimist International Club of Victoria, is conducting a FREE cervical cancer screening camp for women in Seychelles in observance of Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. The initiative focuses on early detection and improved access to preventive care for Seychellois women.

The Soroptimist International Club of Victoria, established in Seychelles in 1994, is a leading local NGO dedicated to advancing the health, education, and empowerment of women and girls through community outreach, advocacy, and fundraising initiatives.

This collaborative screening programme supports global efforts to prevent one of the most avoidable yet life-threatening cancers affecting women by promoting early detection and timely screening. Aligned with Cervical Cancer Prevention Week (19–25 January) and World Cancer Day (4 February), the initiative will offer free cervical cancer screening to the first 100 Seychellois women, reinforcing a shared commitment to prevention and women’s health.
